Interesting how "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" was FUN to watch (was it in the 80's?). yet today when I see a show of extravagance, even see an AD I want to barf🤮 or scream. Back then, we still had hopes! I thought my kids too would by 40 have a house and family with 2 nice cars. Right! my poor son came out with a Business Degree just as the economy collapsed in 2008. It feels like nothing ever reurned to what we THOUGHT was normal.
I blame the fact I had my kids 10 years later than most the people in this NURSING home! 😤 There is something about those in their 50's. I think they just made it over the finish line before NORMAL expectations were lost. I was in my 30's when I began a family but most the people here have OLDER children who got in to the economy before it all collapsed from NORMAL. People work so harf today yet get no further ahead. UNless they have parnets who help them .. it is impossible! My poor kids ad no help .. I was too busy wasting money on my "inventions" not even noticing we no longer INVENT. people are ENTREPRENEURS "hmm .. this could make money let's try it" Never mind it is A I and collapses all the jobs.
Perhaps my rage began when I moved here. YES! It did! I told someone even though kids follow the rules today and go to university, they still end up struggling. Most of them asked what was EWRONG with my kids why did they not work hard like we did. Yup that was the beginning of my desire to MURDER .. jusr STRANGLE the brainless idiot I was tali to. Sorry .. I have been doing the thinking for so many people for so many decades I am EXHAUSTED. Maybe guys who shoot everybody are exhausted not just stressed and overwhelmed with not FAIR.
WE can accept things going wrong (being Not FAIR!) when we feel supported, loved and valued. But when there is stress, broken families, plus overwhelm .. it is all just all TOO MUCH!
So I just do not understand that we still have extreme excess ads and tv shows when this is ATTAINABLE for so many fewer of us. You know .. I never even WANTED any of those luxurious things .. just not my interest .. but it was fun to see how shallow some people are. yike .. maybe the ads are still there because TODAY there are MORE SHALLOW (heading to stupid!), selfish (heading to evil) people?
